Sustainability Framework and Goals
Hwang Chang is committed to promoting sustainable development through a circular economy and resource sustainability approach. To strengthen ESG governance and corporate social responsibility, the Company established the Sustainability Development Committee in August 2022 as the highest supervisory body for sustainability matters.
The sustainability framework is built upon three pillars: Governance (G), Environmental (E), and Social (S), supporting sound corporate governance, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility while aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).This structure also enables the Board of Directors to fulfill its responsibility to safeguard the rights and interests of the Company, employees, shareholders, and stakeholders.

Sustainability Committee Organizational Structure
Composition and Responsibilities
The Sustainability Committee consists of five senior executives appointed by the Board of Directors, with one
director providing oversight. The General Manager serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO).
Responsibilities
- Develop and promote sustainability strategies and plans.
- Monitor sustainability performance and progress.
- Oversee sustainability disclosures and reporting.
- Supervise sustainability-related initiatives approved by the Board.

Human Rights Policy
The Company is committed to protecting and respecting fundamental human rights. We endorse and support the principles set forth in internationally recognized human rights standards, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions. We fulfill our responsibility to respect and protect human rights while complying with applicable labor laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate.
Policy Commitments and Implementation Measures
1. Protecting Human Rights in the Workplace
- Prohibit the employment of child labor and illegal migrant workers.
- Prohibit forced labor, workplace sexual harassment, and all forms of unlawful discrimination or abuse.
- Promote equal employment opportunities by actively recruiting and supporting persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and senior workers.
2. Providing a Safe and Healthy Workplace
- Strengthen occupational safety and health education and training to enhance employees' safety awareness.
- Implement self-inspection and preventive management systems.
- Maintain certification to ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and CNS 45001 (Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management System, TOSHMS).
3. Supporting Freedom of Association
- Hold quarterly labor-management meetings to foster open communication and maintain harmonious labor-management relations.
4. Promoting Employee Well-being and Work-Life Balance
- Provide travel subsidies to help employees relieve stress.
- Encourage employees to maintain healthy lifestyles by organizing hiking and road running activities during their personal time.
5. Human Rights Awareness and Training
- Conduct regular education and training programs to enhance employees' awareness of human rights protection and related policies.
Employee Satisfaction Survey
The Company's first Employee Satisfaction Survey was conducted by the Administration Department in December 2025, covering the period from January to December 2025.
The survey encompassed the three ESG dimensions and evaluated key topics including operational management, occupational health and workplace safety, education and training, team communication, compensation and benefits, environmental protection, and community engagement.
The survey targeted 913 domestic employees and was conducted through an anonymous online questionnaire, achieving a 98% response rate. The overall satisfaction score averaged 4.4 out of 5.0, indicating a high level of employee satisfaction with the Company's overall operations and management.
Based on the survey findings, the Company will further enhance its employee wellness initiatives and health examination programs to continuously improve employee satisfaction and well-being.
